About Julia

Julia danced from a young age, not realising that many of the conditioning exercises were actually derived from Pilates. Over time she added Aerobics and Body Conditioning classes to her exercise regime and eventually trained to teach Exercise to Music (Aerobics).

At the same time she started attending Pilates classes and could see the benefits of Pilates, in particular for those needing rehabilitation, so she trained to teach Pilates. Julia qualified in Matwork Pilates in 2004 and Reformer Pilates in 2008.

Initially Julia was teaching evenings and weekends, alongside her full time job as a project manager but in 2008, she decided to resign from her 9 to 5 job to pursue her passion teaching Pilates full time.

Julia is an assessor and tutor for the Level 4 Certificate in Applied Pilates which represents the highest level of achievement and demonstrates competence in a broad range of skills, including movement assessment and analysis and the ability to teach special populations. She is also a Level 4 Specialist Instructor in Low Back Pain and, as a Cancer Exercise Specialist, is qualified to work with people before/during/after cancer treatment.
